M42, The Great Nebula in Orion

Observer : Alan Brockman Location : Mae Sot, Tak Data/Time : 21 November 2000 10" LX-200 SCT, using a f/6.3 focal reducer with a SBIG ST-8 CCD camera, 10 x 60" guided integrations at -13oC, at full resolution. Images were calibrated by bias and dark subtract (no flat fielding) and sum combined in Maxim DL. Digital Development Proccessing was perfomed with Kernel filter at low pass more, FFT Hardness Custom at 50% cut off, DDP parameters set on auto for background and mid level. The object is mag 3.7, Dia 1.5o x 1.0o, Dist 1,500 l.y.
